Welcome to Detroit Alchemy: A Love Letter from the Founder, Coco Banks

Hey Beautiful Souls,

My name is Coco Banks, and I’m the proud founder and creator of Detroit Alchemy a sacred space where intention meets manifestation, and candles become powerful tools for healing, growth, and transformation.

Detroit Alchemy was born from a deep, personal journey. Like many of you, I started walking the path of self-discovery with a heart full of questions, a spirit craving peace, and a desire to reconnect with my power. Along the way, I realized that the tools I needed to heal weren’t always accessible or created with people like me in mind—Black women, women of color, women stepping into their softness while holding strength.

So I decided to change that.

I created Detroit Alchemy to be a safe space. A space where femininity is celebrated. Where spirituality is honored without judgment. Where healing doesn't have to be lonely or cold it can be soft, sensual, and full of love. Every candle I pour is handcrafted with purpose, made only when my energy aligns with its intention. I use herbs, healing crystals, ancestral wisdom, and love to create each piece. Because I believe that what we light, we ignite within ourselves and in our lives.

These aren’t just candles. They’re manifestation tools, ritual companions, and energetic guides. Whether you're stepping into your self-love era, calling in abundance, honoring your ancestors, or simply reconnecting with your divine feminine energy, I’ve created something just for you.
